Seattle’s Ronald McDonald House offers a welcome haven for families with children receiving extended treatment for cancer and other life threatening illnesses. Adding 48 bedrooms—tripling its size—enables the House to provide a supportive home for 1,100 families every year including ten apartments designed just for bone marrow transplant patients. The addition addresses the needs of both the patients and their family members. Teen rooms, a theatre, dining areas, meditation space, and other common areas help create a sense of family and support during trying times.
